A big bowl of fresh popped popcorn is always a favorite at our house. Lately though, we have been getting in a rut of butter and salt. Yes, butter and salt are amazing. But I have higher flavor expectations, especially with a simple bowl of stove-top popcorn.

After an experimental batch, we are doing great now! The chicken rub, seafood seasoning, and the seasoning salt all taste delicious on a bowl. We tested each seasoning by using our kids’ plastic bowls and getting sampling size to test. It work out so well, actually, that we brought a big bag of unseasoned popcorn, our assortment of Sundown rubs and seasonings, and the aforementioned kids’ bowls down to the local park last Independence Day for fireworks.

A great time, and a simple and flavorful snack.
